A WORD FROM NAÏMA (Co-Founder)

“Clothing is anything but trivial — it empowers you.”

I strongly believe in the common thread — the one that connects people and creates encounters. The dress has been a kind of guiding thread throughout my life. As a child, I would save money to buy the special fashion editions of Vogue or L’Officiel. Azzedine Alaïa and Jean Paul Gaultier quite literally filled my dreams.

Yet in adulthood, it was a lawyer’s robe that I wore. Because a lawyer is someone who serves, defends, and takes an oath of humanity. Remarkable figures such as Gisèle Halimi and Robert Badinter guided that path. Those were extraordinary years, during which I learned rigor, dedication, and the importance of listening to others in order to protect them, always to the best of my ability.

At 40, I was fortunate enough to change my life. To embrace this passion for clothing while striving to give it meaning — to make it useful. For decades, I have observed women — in the office, on the street… and I have always seen beauty in each of them, a beauty they sometimes do not even realize. Helping women gain confidence, feel stronger through clothing; that was the idea behind Une Robe Un Soir.

Clothing is anything but trivial — it equips you. Sharing beautiful garments, making luxury accessible, feels to me like passing on a legacy. In the office, with clothes that empower you without diminishing your femininity. In the evening, with dresses that resonate with what you wish to express or experience.

Sharing also matters because textile overproduction is a relentless race for which we are all accountable. A garment should not be disposable or left forgotten in a closet. It should multiply experiences, just like we do, and become the witness of memorable evenings. In the plural.

Rental makes this sharing possible. It is intelligent, responsible, and for nearly six years now, it has been an extraordinary adventure.

“Long live rental fashion!”
